Jacob Wanger is an up-and-coming stand-up comedian and writer who graduated this May from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Bachelor of Arts in both Philosophy and Communication Arts. Like many Philosophy majors before him, he is currently unemployed. Before landing on comedy, Jacob found himself in a wide-array of jobs such as being a Personal Fitness Trainer, Stock Analyst, and made for damn fine DoorDash driver (4.98⭐).
Immediately after graduation, Mr. Wanger made the incredibly responsible decision to pursue comedy full time. His method of entry into America’s lowest form of show-business, embarking on the uniquely American odyssey of the cross-country road trip, doing so from the complicated comforts of a camper van. Over the course of the next year (or whenever his savings runs out), Jacob will be traveling the country in search of meaning, connection, and stage time. Along the way, he will be writing screenplays and chipping away at his first novel.
In his young career, Jacob has already performed in cities dozens of cities around the world. When he’s not on stage, you can usually find him doing literally anything. This dude cannot sit still for the life of him. Luckily, this inability for stability gives life plenty of opportunity to write jokes for him. His comedy leans into storytelling, absurdity, and making sense of the deeper complexities of life through the eyes of a goofy 22-year-old.
